We use performance-based activities to foster a paradigmatic shift in fields of peacebuilding and activism. The goal is to collaborate with communities by engaging various formats of performance to communicate, exchange, and reflect on violence that emerges from identity-based conflict. We consider ethics as relational practice that can be used as a technique of conflict resolution. To best confront the challenges of borders and find more possibilities for agency, our interventions include multiple research modalities. With every project we involve communities in designing the intervention, documenting the outcome, and making the results public knowledge.
